Company HISTEEL 2020.01.01 has signed a contract with an electricity supplier that supplies exclusively green energy. In addition, HISTEEL plans to install a solar power plant in 2021. In pursuing these ambitions, we will not only use green energy, but we will also be its producers and that means a progress in protecting environment and reducing climate change.

Despite a year-long Coronavirus pandemic, HI STEEL successfully ended its financial year of 2020. Although the annual turnover dropped 3,04 %, both the number of orders and work with the new customers continued to be on positive side compared to the general trend.

After the Quality Control Manager Markus Nitze voluntarily left the company HI STEEL on December 31, 2020, company executives entrusted this position to Evaldas Kuodaitis (see photo) and starting January 1st, 2021, he was appointed the new Quality Control Manager. He has been working in this company since 7th of May 2018.

At the beginning of the new year, there were staff changes in the Project Management Department. The former Head of Project Management Arnas Borkertas voluntarily left the company. Tautvydas Daugirdas (see photo) was appointed the new Head the Department. He has been working in the company since 2nd of May 2012.

This year’s audit of the renewal of the DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 certificate by TÜV-Thüringen was carried out the usual way. We are proud to announce that no deviations have been observed that would not allow the certificate to be renewed.

On 1 July 2020 both executives Dainius Volskis and Ralf Meiworm swapped their positions: Dainius Volskis became the no. 1 executive (director general), whereas Ralf Meiworm is now no. 2 (director). Since the Lithuanian laws recognize only a fully authorised director, the chain of official actions is shortened this way.

The responsibilities of the executives remain the same: Mr. Meiworm, as the second executive and authorized representative, is going to continue to perform his former duties.
